Sutton Hoo is a National Trust property located in Suffolk, 9 miles north-east of Ipswich.  Travelling by car - take the A12 and turn off north of Woodbridge on to the A1152, follow the signs for 3 miles to the Visitor Centre.  By rail, take the train to Melton and then a taxi or walk (2 miles).

The National Trust Visitor Centre is now open including guided tours (provided by the Sutton Hoo Society) . Contact the National Trust for opening times and guided tour arrangements.
